PALO ALTO, CALIF. (January 24, 2013) – Bipper, developer of mobile personal safety products, today announced a new app for iPhone and Android devices that enables parents to block inappropriate downloads, track their child’s locations via GPS in emergencies and receive regular reports on mobile phone usage.

Children know when the app has been installed and are able to view what their parents have programmed.  Parents do not have access to the child’s private emails or text messages, but they do have the ability to monitor their child’s contacts and block anyone deemed inappropriate.  It is also possible for Mom and Dad to program usage thresholds and schedule certain times during the day or night when the child is not allowed access to the phone.

The GPS feature, Safety Alarm, is a one-click SOS alert that can be activated by the child when they need help or feel unsafe.  At that point, real-time tracking kicks in and the child can be located immediately.

Note:  The MobileKids app is free until April 1. For more information and downloads, visit Mobile Kids.
